Fangtopia PS5 Release Date Set for October 26
Fangtopia has a PS5 release date, and this one is arriving just in time for Halloween. Absolutely Games’ cosy puzzle kingdom-builder launches on 26 October 2026, giving players a colourful alternative to the season’s usual horror fare. Sony’s official PlayStation announcement confirms the date.
The pitch is simple: build a strange, charming kingdom for a collection of friendly monsters. Fangtopia is designed to be spooky without becoming stressful, with no time limits and a focus on thoughtful tile placement. It arrives while PlayStation fans are also looking ahead to Sony’s September State of Play.
A Cosy Kingdom Full of Monsters
Players assemble landscapes around a creepy castle using hexagonal tiles. Fields, towns, mountains and forests can be joined together to create a coherent world, while objectives encourage smarter placement and higher scores.
The creatures are part of the reward loop. Portals appearing around the map can summon gremlins, werewolves, banshees and other monsters, with each creature looking for the right habitat before handing over bonus tiles.
Build Your World One Tile at a Time
Fangtopia gives players room to experiment rather than forcing them to rush. Every move can be undone, so a promising kingdom can be reshaped when a landmark or new tile opens up a better scoring opportunity.
Landmarks add another layer to the puzzle. Each one carries a special objective, and completing those challenges unlocks more tiles for the deck, allowing the world to grow further.
Two Modes, One Halloween Release
The standard Fangtopia mode is built around short, relaxed sessions. Players place tiles, complete objectives, discover monsters and try to build the most attractive or highest-scoring kingdom possible.
Ghoulish mode raises the pressure with rivers, larger tile groups, tile-swapping and a bigger stack. It keeps the same friendly presentation but gives experienced players more demanding decisions to make.
Release Date and Platforms
Fangtopia launches on PS5 on 26 October, with the date landing only a few days before Halloween. The game is also planned for Switch 2 and PC, according to Gematsu’s release report.
